At our three laboratories, ideas meet research to produce distinctive, high-performance, unique products. Here, the creative process takes the form of an ongoing dialogue with the customer: we can take an idea and tailor it to the technology available, or develop new solutions from scratch.
Technological laboratory: experimentation and research
Here, concepts and intuition are moulded into tangible products. At the technological laboratory, we research new materials and technologies to extend the production possibilities of ceramics. We test combinations of materials and develop innovative solutions to improve the technical and aesthetic performance of our porcelain tiles.
Graphics laboratory: bespoke design and texture
Equipped with a high-resolution spectral scanner and the most advanced 3D digital technologies, the laboratory can create extremely faithful digital reproductions of textures and materials. Integration with four Durst digital ceramic printers means we can reproduce every colour and textural detail.
Production laboratory: process and quality control
From the test phase through to producing the first samples, the production laboratory is the bridge between design and production. This is where sizes, thicknesses and finishes are trialled and performance testing is carried out, ensuring that every detail is perfect before being included in the line.
The quality of the finished product is ensured by monitoring production parameters using F.P.C. (Factory Production Control).
